SELECT PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Martin House Seniors Apartments,
Milton, Ontario
Client: Thier and Curran Architects Inc. / Vanmar Constructors Inc. (Design/Build)
Owner: Halton Region Community Housing Corporation
Valdor prepared a site servicing and grading design as well as stormwater management report for an 80 unit seniors apartment building. This design / build project was constructed for the Halton Region Community Housing Corporation on their Allandale campus in the Town of Milton.
The design included new service connections for the building and the integration of the site grading with the adjacent parking lots and driveways. On-site stormwater quality and quantity control was achieved through the implementation of two bio-retention swales located within the parking lot. Interpretive signage was installed to explain the function of the bio-retention swales.
