Under the direction of the Heads of Municipal Design, VALDOR and our skilled and experienced team of project managers, design engineers and technicians work closely with our clients and other external design disciplines throughout the planning, preliminary engineering and detailed design stages to navigate the approvals process for Plan of Subdivision applications in order to secure all required federal, provincial, municipal and CA approvals.  Effective and knowledgeable navigation of the increasingly complex and demanding approvals process for Plan of Subdivision applications is critical in positioning our clients in a timely manner for the all-important next phase of the development process: construction.  The Subdivision Design Team works closely with VALDOR’s Water Resources Group to address the many required facets of stormwater management including stormwater management pond (SWMP) design, calculating development limits due to flooding, water balance, low impact development (LID) practices, dual drainage design, hydraulic grade line (HGL) analysis, phosphorus (nutrient) balance and more.  In addition, the Subdivision Design Team works closely with other involved external design disciplines such as planning, geotechnical, transportation, structural, terrestrial and aquatic ecology, acoustics, lighting, and geomorphology.  For more information related to our Subdivision Engineering Design Services, or to request a proposal, please contact our Heads of Municipal Design, David Giugovaz, P.Eng. (dgiugovaz@valdor-engineering.com) or Peter Zourntos, P.Eng. (pzourntos@valdor-engineering.com).
