Our projects include both green field developments, brownfield developments, as well as in-fill subdivisions.  Valdor has extensive experience with municipalities and Conservation Authorities throughout the GTA and therefore has extensive understanding of their requirements. SELECT PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Highlands of Millbrook,

Township of Cavan Monaghan, Ontario

Client: Towerhill Development Inc.

Builders: Bromont Homes & Pristine Homes

Number of Lots: 351

Valdor was retained to prepare a functional servicing report in support of the draft plan application for the Phase 1 subdivision and then detailed subdivision engineering design and contract administration services. The detailed engineering design included a trunk sanitary sewer, a stormwater management pond and outfall channel, the urbanization of Fallis Line and intersection improvements at County Road 10. In addition, a site servicing and grading design was prepared for community centre and arena complex. A functional servicing report is currently being prepared for the Phase 2 subdivision which is anticipated to include an additional approximately 550 Lots.

Holland Green Subdivision,

East Gwillimbury, Ontario

Client: Holland Green Developments Inc.

Builder: Great Gulf Homes

Number of Lots: 264

Valdor was retained to prepare the detailed engineering design and contract administration services. The design included a cut / fill volume of 900,000 m3 to balance the earthworks, a stormwater management pond, a watercourse realignment with feature pond, a signalized  intersection  with  turn  lanes at   HWY 11

and intersection improvements at Holland Landing Road. Low Impact Development (LID) measures were incorporated in the form of infiltration trenches to address the requirements of the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority.

Vomano Valley Subdivision,

Richmond Hill, Ontario

Client: Vomano Valley Developments Ltd.

Valdor prepared the subdivision engineering design and provided contract administration services The detailed design include a stormwater management pond and external work including a storm outfall and channel. Low Impact Development (LID) measures were incorporated into the design in the form of infiltration trenches to address water balance requirements of the Toronto & Region Conservation Authority.

Lily Lake West Subdivision,

Peterborough, Ontario

Valdor was retained to prepare a functional servicing report in support of the draft plan application as well as detailed subdivision engineering design and contract administration services for Phase 1 which includes 400 Lots. The design included two stormwater management ponds, an external watermain crossing Jackson Creek to complete the watermain looping, three round abouts, two watercourse crossings for road access, a watercourse re-alignment, intersection improvements at Lily Lake Road. The design included a cut / fill volume of 1.15M m3 to balance the earthworks. Low Impact Development (LID) measures were incorporated into the design to address water balance in accordance with the requirements of the Otonabee Region Conservation Authority.

Hunter's Pointe Subdivision,

Valdor was retained to prepare a functional servicing report in support of the draft plan application for the Hunter’s Pointe Subdivision. This unique property situated between Highway 406, the Welland Canal and the Welland River. Due to the site constraints the report addressed the looping of the watermain to provide security of supply as well as an emergency  access    to Hwy

406.  The report included an analysis of the capacity of the downstream sanitary sewer as well as the preliminary design of watermain and sanitary sewer crossing of Hwy 406. The report also included the modelling and conceptual design of four wet stormwater management ponds.

Valdor prepared a functional servicing report in support of the draft plan application as well as detailed engineering design for the subdivision. The design included a dry stormwater management pond as well as Low Impact Development measures in the form of soak-away pits. The design also include the extension of an external sanitary having a length of 725 m.

Valdor was retained to prepare the detailed engineering design and to provide contract administration services. The design included two stormwater management ponds as well as a clean water collector to direct runoff to an existing wetland located downstream in accordance with the requirements of Credit Valley Conservation. The intersection designs were co-ordinated with the Region’s upgrades to Mississauga Road and Queen Street West.

Lily Cup Subdivision,

Toronto (Scarborough), Ontario

Builder: Arista Homes

Number of Lots: 117

Valdor has was retained to prepare the detailed engineering design for this re-development site. The design included a stormwater detention system in the form of an underground concrete box culvert, an oil / grit separator for quality treatment and infiltration trenches for water balance, all in accordance with the City of Toronto Wet Weather Flow Guidelines. Due to the presence of a combined sewer, a new storm sewer was extended 250m along Danforth Road to provide a storm outlet for the lands.

Valdor has been retained to prepare the detailed engineering design and to provide contract administration services for this subdivision located in the Community of Angus. The design included the modelling of a stormwater management pond as well as water balance analysis and phosphorus assessment in accordance with the requirements of the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority.

Valdor has been retained to prepare the detailed engineering design and to provide contract administration services for the subdivision. The construction included a 2.3 km external watermain, a SMS sanitary servicing system and a sanitary pumping station. The construction also included a stormwater quality treatment pond in accordance with the requirements of the Lower Trent Conservation Authority.

The design included the modelling of a stormwater management pond as well as water balance analysis and phosphorus assessment in accordance with the requirements of the Kawartha Region Conservation Authority.

Valdor has was retained to prepare the detailed engineering design and to provide contract administration services. The design included the assessment of an existing stormwater management pond, the reconstruction of a storm sewer and the decommissioning of a storm pump station as well as the reconstruction of Gordon Street. The design also included the preparation of site servicing and grading plans for a the medium density block consisting of four 4-storey buildings 252 apartment units.

Valdor has was retained to prepare the detailed engineering design and to provide contract administration services for this subdivision in King City. The design included a flood plain analysis to determine the developable area, two stormwater management ponds, a clean water collector pipe, constructed wetlands, a wetland water balance, a site water balance and restoration of the valleylands. The design also included an intersection at King Road with turn lanes.
