Senior Project Manager

David has over 25 years of experience in the land development industry throughout the Greater Toronto Area and Central Ontario.  As a senior project manager with VALDOR, David is responsible for the co-ordination of the firm’s technical staff for the engineering design of private and public sector projects.  He has experience in all phases of development from the initial planning stages to the final acceptance of the works for both rural and urban projects.  His expertise includes feasibility analysis of land use concepts including identification of site constraints, estimation of costs, assessment of cost sharing provisions and the preparation of functional servicing reports.  Working closely with VALDOR Water Resources and the project consulting team, David ensures the successful integration of the appropriate environmental mitigation measures into the design of each project. In addition, David is involved with the preparation of site servicing & grading designs, with on-site stormwater management, for various commercial, industrial, multi-unit residential and institutional sites as well as grading and septic system designs for estate residential lots.  He also has experience in the design of intersection improvements including the preparation of traffic management and pavement marking plans.

As a LEED® Accredited Professional, David has an in-depth knowledge of sustainable design. The LEED® accreditation demonstrates his commitment to the understanding and implementation of green building and site practices.  His collaborative approach with the project team facilitates the incorporation of engineered low impact development (LID) measures such as green roofs, bio-retention, permeable pavement, soak-way pits and rainwater harvesting to achieve the sustainable goals of his clients.
